 Quality Lead

Minimum level of education: 3rd level
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience

Job Description

To coordinate all activities required to meet the quality standards as set out in the Quality Manual. To report to the MD and liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly. To provide support to the production manager ensuring that all materials, products and processes on site are safe and in compliance with specifications, statutory obligations and best industry practices.                      

      Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Good4U’s Quality Systems, Policies and Procedures as outlined in Good4U’s quality manual all of which are necessary to ensure compliance across the business
  • Implementation and maintenance of Food Quality and Safety System
  • Continuous improvement of the Quality system Compliance, Preparation and Maintenance of highest grade in line with various standards
  • Ensuring quality of finished product meets specifications
  • Ensuring CCP checks carried out correctly and in a timely fashion
  • Ensure employees are following hygiene procedures and production procedures
  • Implementation of Good4U Quality systems on Production floor
  • Evaluation and recording of all incoming ingredients and materials
  • Reporting to senior management on food safety and quality issues
  • Ensure traceability of ingredients and products
  • Maintenance of inspection, calibration and test equipment
  • Prepare samples for external microbiological analysis
  • Identification of training needs and training against such needs
  • Supervise and inspect all cleaning on site
  • Complete hygiene audit checks
  • Management of non-conforming product and raw material systems
  • Monitor GMP on production floor
  • Establishing and reporting on GMP and KPI’S reports
  • Preparing reports for management review
  • Assist in NPD trials and managing new product introduction
  • Management of corrective and preventative system
  • HACCP team member
  • Internal auditing of all quality and production systems
  • Supplier performance monitoring
  • Assist in day to day management of HACCP & Quality Control procedures
  • Conduct regular quality checks
  • Ensure specification requirements are being achieved on a daily basis
  • Monitor micro, supplier & packaging data
  • Involvement in the review of quality records & HACCP
  • Maintenance of quality documentation and SOP’s
  • Providing support to management and supervision of production operatives Key Competencies/ Experience:
  • Food Science degree, combined with a good understanding of food safety & quality requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English is a prerequisite
  • Self-motivated, excellent implementation skills and good attention to detail
  • HACCP trained
